Book a Free Assessment
Every BrainVista journey starts with a free assessment. It’s how we understand your child’s current level, identify gaps, and agree the right goals before matching them with the right tutor.
Whether you’re exploring tuition for the first time or looking to switch after a previous tutor didn’t work out, the free assessment gives us the information we need to make a genuinely useful recommendation — not a generic one.
What the free assessment actually covers
This is not a sales call. It’s a genuine, useful conversation about your child’s Maths — whether or not you decide to go ahead with tuition.
Current Level
We ask about recent test results, school grades and how your child is finding lessons right now.
Gaps and Weak Spots
We identify the specific topics, skills or exam techniques that are holding progress back.
Goals
Whether it’s a target grade, an upcoming exam, or simply rebuilding confidence, we agree what success looks like.
Exam Board Check
We confirm the exact exam board and tier — AQA, Edexcel or OCR — so tuition maps to the real specification.
None of this requires your child to sit a formal test. The assessment is a conversation, not an exam — the aim is to understand their situation, not catch them out.
The right starting point makes tuition far more effective
Tuition that starts without a clear picture of a student’s level often wastes early sessions re-covering ground the student already knows, or moving too fast past gaps that need attention. The free assessment removes that guesswork.
It also means the tutor we match your child with is chosen specifically for their subject, year group, exam board and learning style — not simply whoever happens to be available.
What happens before, during and after
Before: You submit the form or message us
Fill in the form below or send us a WhatsApp message with your child’s subject, year group and what’s prompting you to look for a tutor.
Before: We confirm a time
A member of the BrainVista team contacts you using your preferred method to arrange a convenient time for the assessment conversation.
During: We talk through level, gaps and goals
In a relaxed 20-30 minute conversation, we cover current grades, recent topics, exam board, and what your family wants to achieve.
After: We recommend a plan
We suggest a suitable tutor, format (online or in person) and session frequency, with transparent pricing — no pressure to commit on the spot.
After: You decide when to start
If you’d like to go ahead, we schedule the first session at a time that works for your family.
Honest advice, even if that means recommending something else
The purpose of the free assessment is to give your family clear, honest information — not to push a sale. If we don’t think one-to-one tuition is the right next step for your child, or if a different subject or year group focus makes more sense, we’ll say so.
This matters most for families who are unsure whether their child even needs a tutor yet. A short conversation about recent test results, homework habits and upcoming exams is often enough to tell whether targeted tuition would help, or whether some simple changes at home might close the gap first.
If you do decide to go ahead, the assessment becomes the foundation for everything that follows — from which tutor we recommend, to whether online or in-person tuition suits your family better, to how often sessions should run.

Yes. The free assessment carries no cost and no obligation to book any further sessions. It exists to help us understand your child’s needs and to help you decide if BrainVista is the right fit.
Most free assessments take around 20 to 30 minutes, either over the phone, on a video call, or via WhatsApp, depending on what works best for your family.
No preparation is required. It can help to have recent school reports, test results or exam papers to hand, but this is optional and not essential to book the assessment.
