Structure matters. Every BrainVista online session follows a clear shape so that time is used well and your child always knows what to expect.
Minutes 0–5: Check-in and recap
The tutor greets the student, asks how recent homework or classwork went, and recaps the previous session’s key ideas.
Minutes 5–15: Address gaps and questions
Any topics the student found tricky in school that week are tackled first, using the whiteboard to rebuild understanding from the basics up.
Minutes 15–40: Core teaching and guided practice
The main topic for the session is taught step by step, with the student working through examples on the shared whiteboard while the tutor gives immediate feedback.

Getting set up for online tuition is simple. Most families already have everything required.
- A laptop, Chromebook, tablet or desktop computer with a working webcam and microphone (a smartphone can work in a pinch, but a larger screen is far better for using the whiteboard).
- A stable internet connection — a standard home broadband or Wi-Fi connection is normally sufficient.
- A quiet, well-lit space with a desk or table, free from distractions such as a TV or games console.
- Pen and paper or an exercise book nearby, even though most working happens on screen.
- A few minutes before the first session to test the camera, microphone and whiteboard link your tutor sends over.

A phone can work for basic video calling, but we strongly recommend a laptop, Chromebook or tablet with a larger screen so your child can comfortably see and use the shared digital whiteboard.
Your tutor will try to resolve the issue quickly, for example by switching to a phone call while reconnecting. If a session cannot continue due to a technical fault, we will always work with you to rearrange the lost time.
